Danielle Olivera said her Summer House castmates believe Carl Radke “[had] a point” when he decided to call off his engagement and wedding to Lindsay Hubbard over the summer — just months before they were set to wed in Mexico.

During an appearance on Wednesday, Danielle, 34, who also stars on Winter House, opened up about Carl, 38, and Lindsay’s breakup, noting that she felt the two were only meant to be “best friends” as she commented on their now-“shattered” relationship.

At Page Six‘s live taping of its Virtual Reali-Tea on December 6, without naming names, Danielle confirmed several of her female co-stars believe Carl “very much … has a point” with his reasoning for calling it quits with Lindsay, 37.

“People do want to believe Carl’s side of that story and at the end of the day I would love to believe that side of the story too. I just don’t right now,” Danielle explained. “I think it’s gonna take some time to figure out. Like, you know, there’s the real part, there’s Lindsay’s side, there’s Carl and there’s somewhere we all lie.”

Although Danielle admitted to feeling that there is a “point to what happened last summer” between Carl and Lindsay, she suspected they would have been better as friends.

“I think Carl and Lindsay were meant to be best friends and I think it has now been shattered and that’s not gonna happen ever again,” she noted.

Danielle then shared, “I never wanted it to go down the way it went down.”

As Summer House fans have surely heard, Carl has insisted that his breakup from Lindsay will make sense to viewers once they watch how the upcoming season plays out.

“I wanted to get married and have a family, but I think when you are getting to a point in your relationship where… we’ve been in couples therapy since November of 2022 every week for foundational things that we needed to work on,” he told Entertainment Tonight in November. “We’ve really been committed to try and work through things and get on the same page, but a wedding, having a family — that is a serious, serious thing. And I think — given where the summer was and how our relationship had been going — people will see that I had to really dig deep inside and have a very difficult and emotional conversation with her that I felt that I had to do because I really believe our relationship wasn’t in that position where it needed to be.”

Meanwhile, during an interview on Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, Lindsay slammed Carl for the way in which he spun the narrative about their split and chose to end their relationship for the cameras.

“I love when people spin narratives but yeah, ultimately, when you tell somebody who controls the cameras about your feelings before you tell your partner, your best friend, and your fiance, that’s what happens,” she noted.

Summer House season eight is expected to air on Bravo sometime early next year.
