Becky G Tearfully Rejoices at Making the Forbes “30 Under 30 List”: “Mija We Did It”
Becky G was overwhelmed with emotion after learning that she had been named to the Forbes “30 Under 30” list. The list was released on Nov. 29. In an emotional Instagram posting, the 25-year old “Mamiii” singer dedicated this honor to her younger self as well as the larger Latinx community. She captioned a video in which she was crying after receiving the news. “This young Chicana, Inglewood, started this journey living at her abuelito’s garage 15 years ago.
Becky G is a singer, actor, and activist in the entertainment sector. She told PopSUGAR that she is only scratching the surface with all the things she hopes to achieve in her career. In May she released “Esquemas,” her second studio album. It was nominated at the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards for Latin pop album. In 2020 and 2021, she won consecutive American Music Awards for best Latin female artist. She is also the recipient of a Billboard Latin Music Award, and two People’s Choice Awards.

She said that she did this because she wanted to survive, just like many people who are from the same place. To support her family. To inspire others.
